Diamond Beach Nusa Penida

🌴 Diamond Beach, Nusa Penida

Diamond Beach is one of the most stunning and photogenic beaches located on the eastern side of Nusa Penida Island, Bali. Famous for its dramatic cliffs, turquoise-blue waters, and white sandy shoreline, it has become a must-visit destination for travelers seeking natural beauty and adventure.

The beach gets its name from the diamond-shaped limestone rocks scattered along the coast, which can be seen clearly from the viewpoint above. From the cliff, visitors are treated to breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean and rugged coastline — a perfect spot for photography.

To reach the beach, you need to descend a steep staircase carved into the cliff, which takes around 10 to 15 minutes. The path offers incredible views but requires caution, as parts of the trail can be narrow and steep.

Once you reach the bottom, Diamond Beach feels like a hidden paradise. The powdery sand, swaying palm trees, and crystal-clear waves create a tranquil atmosphere ideal for relaxing and exploring. However, swimming is not always recommended due to strong currents and waves, especially during high tide.

Diamond Beach is located close to Atuh Beach and the Thousand Islands Viewpoint, making it easy to visit all three attractions in one trip.

Tips for Visitors:

  • Best time to visit: Morning or early afternoon for cooler weather and softer light.
  • Wear comfortable shoes for the descent.
  • Bring water, sunscreen, and a camera.
  • Be cautious when walking down the stairs and near the water.
